Questions about learning to drive in Ahmedabad

Course length, fees, documents, the RTO test, ladies batches and timings — answered plainly. If yours isn't here, just ask us.

Driving lessons

Three to four weeks for a complete beginner on our 21-session course. If you've driven before and only need practice, ten sessions is usually enough. We give you an honest assessment after the free demo rather than selling a fixed package.

Yes. Come in, meet the instructor who'd be teaching you, sit in the car, and see how it feels. No payment and no obligation to enrol afterwards.

Please call to check current availability at your branch. Our honest view: if you're buying an automatic and won't drive anything else, automatic is easier and less tiring in Ahmedabad traffic. Otherwise learn manual — a manual licence covers both.

Every training car has a second brake on the instructor's side. It's a basic safety requirement and worth asking any driving school you're considering.

Quiet lanes for the first week, then progressively real roads — Shahibaug, Ashram Road, Civil Hospital circle and similar. Training only on an empty ground doesn't prepare anyone for actual city driving.

Tell us your preference when you book and we'll do our best. If you don't get on with your instructor for any reason, say so and we'll change them — no awkwardness required.

Licence & RTO

Yes. We prepare your documents, file the application, book your test slot and give you practice questions for the rules test. See the learning licence page for the full document list.

18 for a car or a geared motorcycle. 16 for a gearless two-wheeler under 50cc, with guardian consent. We'll confirm what applies to your case before applying.

You can apply for the permanent licence 30 days after your learning licence is issued, and you must apply within six months before the LL expires.

Generally: Aadhaar, age proof, address proof, passport-size photographs, blood group, and a medical certificate if you're over 40. Send photos of what you have on WhatsApp and we'll tell you what's missing before you travel to the office.

You retake it after a short waiting period, with a government re-test fee. We'll identify exactly what went wrong, drill that specific point, and rebook the slot.

Yes. Renewal is straightforward if you act within the permitted window after expiry; leave it much longer and the process becomes more involved. Send us a photo of the licence and we'll tell you which situation you're in.

We'll arrange a duplicate. You'll generally need to report the loss and provide identity and address proof. Bring whatever details of the old licence you have — even a photo of it helps.

Yes — RC transfer, hypothecation add and remove, NOC, fitness certificates, permits and address changes. See all RTO services.

Fees & payment

It depends on the branch, the vehicle and how many sessions you actually need, so we quote on the phone rather than publishing a figure that might be wrong for you. It takes about a minute and there's no obligation. See the fees page for what's included.

No — they're separate, and we pass them on at exactly what the RTO charges with no markup. Our service charge for handling the paperwork is included in the course packages.

Often, yes. Ask when you enrol and we'll see what we can arrange.

No. The demo is free and there's no advance payment to book it.

Timings, batches & location

Batches run from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday to Saturday. Sunday by appointment. Tell us when you're free and we'll try to fit a batch around you.

Yes — women-only batches with comfortable daytime timings. See the ladies classes page.

Please call your nearest branch to confirm current availability — it varies by branch and batch. We'd rather tell you honestly than promise something we can't arrange on the day.

In some areas. Send us your locality on WhatsApp and we'll tell you straight away whether we can and whether it affects the fee.

No. We regularly teach people in their fifties and sixties, and they're often more careful students than teenagers. Age changes the pace, and the pace is yours to set.
